Behind the Scenes Espresso Cup
I’ve been thinking a lot about contrast lately.
Not only visual contrast... but process.

This espresso cup began the slow way. Each one is thrown on the wheel, the handle formed separately, then left to dry over the course of a few days to prevent cracking

Each cup is hand-brushed with glaze before firing, resulting in a dark volcanic-ash finish. The glaze reacts differently across the form, revealing small variations in tone and texture that make each piece distinct

After high-temperature firing, the cup is paired with a precision-milled aluminum saucer, finished in our signature silver anodize.

The form guides how it’s held. Rounded edges create a natural pinch point for your thumb and index finger. The texture adds grip without trying to.

It’s a quiet parallel to how creativity works now. Whether we like it or not, AI and human touch are forced to coexist.
Just an object designed to slow down a daily ritual.
More soon.
